Mr. Frank Mumford, 75, entered into rest on Sunday, February 12, 2006 at Candler Hospital.
He was a native of Savannah, Georgia and attended the public schools of Chatham County. He was a member of Miller Inner City United Methodist Church and served on the United Methodist Men's Group and a Trustee. He was a retired supervisor for the City of Savannah. He was a member of the American Federation of musicians and the Coastal Jazz Society. He was a member of the American Legion Post 500. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Capers Mumford.
Survivors: five daughters, Francine Mumford of Savannah, GA, Linda (Lonnie) Loadholt of Savannah, GA, Patricia (Robbie, Jr.)Mitchell of Petersburg, VA, Sandra (Olice) Barnes of Savannah, GAand Jacqueline Marie (Roger) Walker of Orlando, FL; two sons, Frank (Darlene) Mumford. Jr. and Bruce (Jacquelyn) Mumford of Savannah, GA; three brothers, Jimmy Mumford, Robert Mumford, and Carl Mumford, all of Savannah, GA; four sisters, Gladys Jenkins of Savannah, GA, Rachel Hemingway of New Yory City, NY, and Shirley Berries of Savannah, GA; 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
