Sent: Friday, April 29, 2016 6:13 PM: My family has confirmed documentation that Phillip is my great great grandfather. I am the son of Wayne Albert Fore, son of James Wiles Fore, son Asa Burtus Fore, son of Phillip Fore.

We know very little about Phillip except he married Milita Stogsdill in Kentucky. He claimed on some census data to have been born in Kentucky. However, we are very skeptical about that. My grandfather James Willey used to say that his grandfather Phillip immigrated from Forigliano Italy. According to my grandfather his original name was Fillipo, and the Fore's were part of the Italian group that settled in Raleigh MO.

My great aunt Katie (Asa's daughter) used to refer to Asa Brutus (my great grandfather) Papi or Paps. She is the oldest family member I was ever fortunate enough to meet. She said her grandfather's last name was Fiore, and also told the story of him traveling through Kentucky where he met Milita and married before making a 100 acre claim in southern MO.

I was 20 years old when she passed. Katie and my Aunt Evelyn said the kids called Asa Paps or Papi because his grandfather was Giesseppi Fiore. Asa was supposedly a spitting image of his grandfather, hence the nickname short for Giesseppi. However, Asa referred to himself as Bert to his friends and colleagues.

Interestingly, there happens to be a large population of Fiore's and Fori's in Forigliano which is information my grandfather and great aunt Katie would not have known since they passed on before the invent of the internet.

We have done our homework, and I would love to pass on some history for my son Samuel. One day I plan to take him to the grave of his great great great grandfather if we can find it.

We would like to see great great grandpa Phillips grave. Were you able to find a stone, or only records that he is buried Rhea Cemetary? Thank you so much for all your help, and I hope you enjoyed the history. Steven, Son of Wayne, James, Asa, Phillip Fore
