Susan Marie Winstead Bellamy
Susan was born in Rocky Mount, NC, the daughter of Grover Lee and Mavis Marie Bearden Winstead, and sister to Anndora and Michael. The family moved to Florence, SC, when she was young, and remained living there until her passing. She was a loving aunt to several nieces and nephews, but never had children of her own.
Susan attended public schools in both NC and SC. Over the years, she worked as a corrections officer for the Florence County Detention Center, and also as a driver for Horne Ford Motor Company on Coit Street in Florence, SC.
She loved spending time with her family, and cooking big Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, and visiting with her friends, of which she had quite a few from all walks of life.
She passed away too young, at the age of 51, after struggling with Grave's Disease of her thyroid, and other health issues that it caused for her. Her father passed away when she was young, but her mother and step-father lived until after she was gone. She is greatly missed by her sister and brother, and her 6 nieces and nephews. And those who were touched by her, will never forget her. May she rest in peace!
