Savannah -William "Billy" James, 60, born February 21, 1946 passed away April 6, 2006 after a short illness. Billy was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence "Booby" James, Wilhelminia James, and a sister, Helen Sheppard. He is survived by his son, William James, Jr.; two sisters, Susan Kurth and Kathy Palefsky; two granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. Billy was a former police officer, who was born, and raised in Savannah. Visitation will be at the home of his sister located at 482 Holly Hill Rd, off of Hwy 144 in Richmond Hill, on Saturday April 8, 2006 from 4-7 p.m. Remembrances to American Heart Association.
