Joseph was born about 1757, as he was 2 when he died en route to France during the Acadian explusion. He was traveling with the following family:
Joseph Aucoin, aged 38 years (only survivor)
Anne Blanchard, aged 20 years
Radegonde Aucoin, 5 years
Ozite Aucoin, aged 8 years

They were traveling on one of the "Cinq Paquebots Anglais" ("Five English Ships") - Yarmouth, Patience, Mathias, Restoration, John Samuel. They arrived in St-Malo on January 23, 1759.
