Obituary.
MRS. T. P. WARNER.
One of the pioneers of Niagara county, and in fact one of the oldest residents of Western New York, died last evening at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. W. T. ROGERS on East avenue. Her death was very sudden, as she ate breakfast and dinner in apparent good health with the family on the same day. Mrs. WARNER was the relict of the late WARREN WARNER of this city, and had she survived until tomorrow she would have been 86 years of age. During her long and useful life she was a consistent Christian woman, and a member for many years of the First Presbyterian church of this city. Her maiden name was THEODOSIA PARSONS, and she was a member of the PARSONS family of this city which occupied a foremost position in the early history of Lockport, her father being the Rev. SILAS PARSONS.
Her brother, WM. PARSONS, donated the valuable Parsons library to the First Presbyterian church of this city, furnishing an endowment for its perpetuation.
Mrs. WARNER came to Lockport from Sudbury, Vt., fifty years ago. The deceased was a lady having a very large circle of friends and relatives, and it was those who knew her best and longest, in whose affections and esteem she stood the highest. Her life was as near faultless as that of a human being can be, and she enters into rest as a faithful servant gone to receive her reward. She leaves a brother, SILAS PARSONS, Esq., of Buffalo, a sister, Mrs. P. P. PRATT of Genesee street, this city, and Mrs. SARAH PRATT of Batavia, also an only daughter, Mrs. W. T. ROGERS of this city, to mourn her demise. The funeral will occur on Thursday afternoon of this week, at the residence of W. T. ROGERS, at 2:30 o'clock. Friends are requested to send no flowers. Interment at Cold Springs cemetery.
