Born April 16, 1919, in Peoria to Lonnie and Anna Kyle Teague, he married Mildred Bryant on Aug. 3, 1940, in St. Charles, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Robert (and Chris) Teague of Washington and Joe (and Linda) Hutton of Germantown Hills; two daughters, Khalisa (and Hadrat) Nejeebe of Houston and Lonsetta (and Robert) Green of Peoria; three sisters, Grace Dawson of Milwaukee, Jane Fishback of La Belle, Mo., and Berniece Blanch of Los Angeles; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, one grandchild and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was the first black member of Carpenters Union Local 183.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.
