Mr. Richard Wayne “Rock” Holmes, age 59 of Winnfield, Louisiana passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014.
Born Sunday, April 24, 1955 in New Orleans, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Father. Odis Holmes, Mother, Audrey Faye Rogers Holmes, and Maternal Grandparents, Olan and Nancy Fairburn.
He was a truck driver for J.K. Martin for 29 years. Mr. Holmes was dedicated to his family and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 30, 2014, at Southern Funeral Home, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM, and again on Friday, October 31, 2014, at Southern Funeral Home, from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 31, 2014 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Bates and Rev. Bruce Cardin officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Cemetery, in Calvin.
