Wendell

Clara Larriviere Thomas, 89, died Tuesday at the Coventry House in Zebulon.

She was born in Broussard, LA, a daughter of the late Andrew Joseph and Lucille Bernard Larriviere.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal Todd Thomas, Sr., great-grandson, Chase Hinnant and sister, Tookie Patin.

Clara was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and her family meant everything to her. She also was a loving care giver who enjoyed helping others.

A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at St. Eugene's Catholic Church, Wendell with burial to follow in Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

She is survived by her children, Juanita Hinnant (Bucky), Annette Monk (Joe) and Todd Thomas (Sheryl); brothers and sisters, Sonny Larriviere (Betty), Joe Larriviere, Alfred Larriviere (Rose Marie), Johnny Larriviere (Sue), Odette Lagneaux and Ann Hoffpauir (Gerald); grandchildren, Clint Hinnant (Wanda), Ben Hinnant (Tina), Jody Monk (Betsy), Kevin Monk (Stephanie) and Doria Warren (Tripp); 12 great-grandchildren.

A sincere thanks to the staff of Coventry House and a special loving care giver Felicia for their love and care shown to our mother over the last eight years.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at the home of Todd and Sheryl Thomas, 223 Short St., Wendell.
