WHERE HE SERVED
Funeral services for John Kennedy, who died Tuesday in his eighty-fourth year, will be held to-morrow at his home at 48 33 Thirty-seventh Street, Laurel Hill. Requiem mass will be celebrated in St. Raphael's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Mr. Kennedy was for more than half a century general foreman in the Calvary Cemetery, where he will be buried. He came to this country sixty-two years ago from County Clare, Ireland.
He was one of the two surviving organizers of the Holy Name Society of St. Raphael's Church, and was a member of the old Central Queens Democratic County Committee.
His death was the result of an illness he suffered for four years.
He leaves three sons, James E. Kennedy, president of the Laurel Hill and Churchtown Independent Democratic and Civic Club and Thomas and William Kennedy.
✞ John Kennedy is buried with his wife Honorah at Third Calvary Roman Catholic Cemetery in Queens, New York. One other person, name not obtained, was buried with them in 1961.
Next to the Kennedy's is Grave no. 2 which was purchased by John. A list of it's burials has not been obtained.
