JOY SINK, 78, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Wednesday, Sept. 17, 2014, at her home. Born in Opelous as, La., Joy work ed as an account manager with Grabill Bank for 27 years before retiring. She was a dedicated and active member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Joy lived for her church and her family. Joy and her family enjoyed long camping trips throughout their lives. Joy was very active in Komet Hockey throughout the years. Her other hobbies included bowling, sewing, gardening, volunteering at Blue Army Rosary Society, and preparing taxes. Surviving are her sons, Kevin (Deborah) Sink of Elroy, Wis. Edwin Sink Jr. of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Kevin (Kristy) Sink Jr., April (Matthew) Van Schmidt and Steven (Cari) Hall; and great-grandchildren, Christian, Kevin III, Derek, Hailey, and Brynna. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Edwin Sink; second husband, Kenneth Thieme; and sisters, Thelma, Mary Lee, and Annette. Requiem. Mass is 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with Father George Gabet officiating. Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with a rosary service at 6:30 p.m. Burial in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
