Miss Josephine Kirby was stricken with apoplexy in New York city Wednesday and only lived a few
minutes after the stroke. Miss Kirby was born in Brownville, N. Y., and passed her early life there. For some tweny years she was in Potsdam making a home for her brother, Rev. R. M. Kirby. After his death she went to New York and had since resided there with Miss Annie Clarkson. Interment was made at Brownville Sunday morning.
