Wife of James J. Kilberger, Mother to James (Rose), Lydia (Arthur), Anne (Joseph) and Blanche. Grand/Great/mother to many.

Formally of Chicago IL, her life came to an unexpected end when she was murdered in Harbert, MI where she resided.

She loved working on the "farm", growing veggies, grapes for homemade wine, roses, flowers, fruit trees, etc. The "farm" was called "Whispering Pines" because of the numerous huge pine trees that would surround the property. When the wind blew, the pines would actually whisper.

She would never want to leave her home and if she did, she always made sure that she returned that very same night, she never wanted to stay anywhere else but her home. On several attempts, when she got up in age, we tried to get her to move in with one of her daughters, but being stubborn, she wouldnt leave her beloved home.

Grandma loved to bake and cook. When we would come for a Sunday visit, there would always be a homecooked meal and alot of fresh baked goods. She made sure we left with our tummys overly stuffed.

She enjoyed the beach (Lake Michigan), while the rest of us were alittle unsure about the water being cold, there would be grandma already far out into the lake calling us to get in the water. She would ask: "why would come to the beach if we werent going to go into the water?".

Before moving to MI, she worked along with my grandfather (James J.) at the Chicago Orphanage (Foster Ave.), cooking, cleaning for her family and for the kids at the home.

My grandmother is deeply missed by all.
