Mr. Stevens was a truck driver and farmer, and served in the Army.
He was a member of the Quitman United Methodist Church.
On Nov. 1, 1949, he married Martha M. Dredge, in Maryville, Mo. She survives of the home.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William T. and Nellie Stevens; five brothers, Leo, William, Millard, James and John Stevens;and two sisters, Irene Long and Mary Race.
Additional survivors: a son, James W., Skidmore, Mo., two daughters, Michelle R. Stevens, Maryville, Mo., and Gwendoln G. Gatson, Chillicothe, Mo; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services were held at Price Funeral Home, Maryville, Mo.
Burial: Quitman Cemetery, Quitman, mo.
