Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull at 1:30 P.M., September 19 for Mrs. Jan TeSlaa, 89, who died at the Sioux Center Community Hospital September 17.
Services were conducted by the Rev. John Fondse and burial was in Hope Cemetery at Hull.
Mrs. TeSlaa, the former Fredrika Colenbrander, was born December 6, 1883, in The Netherlands. She was married September 21, 1904, while living in Holland and came to the U.S. and the Hull area in 1908. The couple farmed near Hull until he died in 1927.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Cynthia) Kroese and Mrs. William (Minnie) Kroese, both of Hull, and Mrs. Marinus (Hannah) Mouw of Chino, Calif., a son, John, of Hull; a stepdaughter, Reka TeSlaa of Hull; a stepson, Henry TeSlaa of Hull; 16 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
