Mr. Wilmer Miersma, age 82, of Hull, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.
Wilmer was born Sept. 13, 1908, at Hull, the son of Harry W. Miersma and Hattie Te Slaa Miersma. He lived his entire life at Hull.
On May 16, 1933, he married Margaret Westra at Hull.
In earlier years, he did custom farm work. Later, they farmed southwest of Hull. In 1962, they moved into Hull, where he became a bus driver for the Boyden-Hull Community School.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull and the church's Men's Brotherhood and Men's Chorus.
Survivors include his wife; daughter Harriet; granddaughter, Dr. Valorie; grandson, Verle; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Brandon; and five brothers and a sister, Gerrit, Margaret, Joe, Henry and Ed.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Jan. 3, at the First Reformed Church in Hull. Interment followed at Hope Cemetery in Hull.
