Pauline Feikert DeBenedetti age 97 of Linden passed away on June 9, 2014. She was born on January 4, 1917 in Streeter, North Dakota to Gottleib and Katherine Feikert. Fred and Pauline DeBenedetti came to Linden as newlyweds on New Year's Day in 1936. She had lived on the same property for 79 years. She was a member of the Linden United Methodist Church, taught Sunday School for 10 years and was a member of their Women's Society serving as president, secretary and corresponding secretary as well as receiving the Faithful Friend of the Church award. She also volunteered as a Linden Girl Scout leader for 10 years. Pauline was a member of the California PTA for the Linden schools serving as their president, receiving a lifetime membership from them. She was one of the first members of the California Women for Agriculture Group and was the Linden Director several times. Pauline was secretary of the Linden Lion's Past President's Club for many years and received an Outstanding Citizen of the Year Award. She belonged to the Friends of the Linden Library club since it began and was their treasurer for several years. Pauline also belonged to the Linden Garden Club since 1950 and was their president, secretary and historian for 40 years, receiving a Life Member and the Green Thumb Awards. She was preceded in death by her husband Fred of 57 years and is survived by her daughter Geraldine DeBenedetti, and her son Frank (Sandy) DeBenedetti; grandchildren Cassandra Senner, Grant (Beth) Senner, Rico (Donna) DeBenedetti and Tamie DeBenedetti and great granddaughter Shelbie DeBenedetti. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 19th from 2-6 PM in the chapel of Frisbie-Warren & Carroll and Funeral Services will be held at the Linden United Methodist Church, 19147 California 26, Linden on Friday at 11:00 AM with committal at the Linden Cemetery.
