Sallie, 82, was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Hoyle of Lincolnton, N.C.; daughter of the late Dock and Eva Gardner Parker. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Russell Parker of Rocky Mount, and R.S. Parker and Joseph Parker of Nashville; and two sisters, Ethel Parker Baxley of Rocky Mount and Irene Parker Winstead of Richmond, Va. She is also survived by two brothers, Randolph Parker of Chesapeake, Va., and Odie Parker of Hopewell, Va. Sallie was raised in Nash County, N.C., and attended Coopers School. She attended Mrs. Mott"s Secretarial School in Wilmington, N.C., and later Brevard College in Cocoa, Fla. She was an engineering aide at NASA; she also was a former bookkeeper for the Coca-Cola Co.; and a former employee in the office of data engineering at the Cape Canaveral Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Fla. She was a charter member of the Business and Professional Women"s Club of Cocoa Beach, Fla., and also a recording secretary. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Merritt Island, Fla. She returned to Nashville, N.C., after living in Florida for 45 years.
