Alfojean Johnson Lyons, 82, of 191 Foggy Mountain Rd., Glade Valley, NC; died Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Alleghany Memorial Hospital in Sparta. She was born August 21, 1931 in Alleghany County to the late Connie George and Dema Mae Richardson Johnson. In Addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Lyons, a sister, Anna Ree, and a brother Herbert Johnson.
She is survived by a son, a daughter & son-in-law, a grandson, a granddaughter, seven sisters, several nieces and nephews and extended family.
The family requests the honor of your presence at the service to honor the life of Mrs. Lyons at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 in the chapel of Grandview Memorial Funeral Home with Elder Pete Hawks, Brother Ed Hall and Reverend Tim Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at Rich Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends and family from 6 until 8 pm on Tuesday evening at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
