Mr. McGraw was Nancy's third husband. First Husband was Woodhull Brown who was the Father of Lydia Ann Brown, Wife of Caleb Cummins. Nancy's Parents were Samuel Belew and Lydia Ellis of Bull Run Creek, Prince William Virginia. She was living with Caleb and Lydia at the time of her death.

Nancy was probably adopted by the Belew Family as a young child and she was Native American. Her second husband Jack Ellis had several children that Nancy helped raise. Jack was drowned in the Missouri River, when He and Nancy were on their way back from Cairo, IL on the riverboat. Nancy herself appears to have had only one child, Lydia, by her first husband Woodhull Brown. Nancy may have named her one child after her adoptive mother, Lydia Ellis. The name of Lydia was often used in the Cummins and Underhill families. Her Granddaughter Eleonor Cummins, was the wife of Marion Underhill.

Inscription

"Come Ye Blessed"
On the back of the stone:
Dearest loved one we must lay thee
In the peaceful grave's embrace
But thy memory will be cherished
Till we see thy heavenly face.

Yet again we hope to meet thee
When the day of life is fled
God in heaven with joy to greet thee
Where no farewell tears are shed.
