Robert "Red" Allen, 72 of Marion, passed away on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at his residence with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 10, 1942 in Unicoi County, TN. "Red" was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and worked as a contractor in the construction industry. He enjoyed helping others, putting their needs before his own, especially building for the elderly in need. He loved his family and friends, including his grandchildren and great grandchildren and the joy they brought to his life. His greatest love and treasure was his wife.
Left to cherish "Red's" memory include his wife of the home; his 3 children all of Marion; three brothers, 1 of Florida, 2 both of Tennessee; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Interment will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery with military honors provided by the Rutherford County VFW.
