Daphine Williamson Tew, 92, of Tarboro, died Thursday, March 5, 2009.Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Carlisle Funeral Home with President Jimmy King, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints officiating.Burial will follow in Edgecombe Memorial Park.Mrs. Tew was preceded in death by her husband, Talmon R. Tew, and brother, Hubert Williamson.She is survived by a daughter, Mary Eleanor Brewer and husband Kenneth of Tarboro; two sons, Carlton Tew and wife Ethel Braddy Tew of Chester, Va. and Grant Tew and wife Dianna of Washington; a sister, Leatrice Pulley of Tarboro; two brothers, Ralph Williamson and Melvin Williamson, both of Tarboro; eight grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends from 7-9 p.m. Saturday at Carlisle Funeral Home, and other times at the home of Kenneth and Mary Eleanor Brewer, 1601 Canterbury Road, Tarboro.Funeral arrangements are by Carlisle Funeral Home in Tarboro.
