She was predeceased by her parents Gertrude Williams Wall and Robert Edward Wall. She attended North Fulton High School and Oglethorpe University and was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
She and her late husband Gene Doyal moved to Villa Rica in 1947.
She was an active member of the Villa Rica Garden Club since 1948 and served as President several times. She was also a member of the Carroll County Beautification Committee and Carrollton Civic Women's Club. Her gardening ability was evident every spring when her yard was in full bloom. She was known locally for her orchids, and loved giving gardening advice.
She sold real estate locally, worked with the Bureau of the Census for 20 years, and was on the Board of Directors of the Red Cross.
She bravely fought breast cancer for 20 years and during this time was an advocate for breast cancer survivors.
Her memorial service was held from the Chapel of J Hoyt Thomas Funeral Home on Saturday, November 1, 2008 at 1:30pm. Family and friends will be received at a reception at the Doyal home, immediately following the service.
Mrs. Doyal is survived by two daughters, Pam Bruce and Jane Vandiver. She was predeceased by her huband Gene Doyal and their daughter Robyn Ann Doyal Smith.
