Rosa Rutherford, 65, Sallee Street, Somerset, died Saturday at the Sunrise Manor Nursing Home after an illness of several months.

She was born in Pulaski County on October 22, 1908, the daughter of Jerry and Isabella Garland Calhoun, both deceased.

She married Robert Rutherford on July 26, 1924 in Pulaski County, and he survives.

Other survivors include 18 children, James Rutherford and Gail Rutherford, both of Ferguson, William "Bill" Rutherford of California, Dan M. Rutherford of Paris, Paul Rutherford, Glenn Rutherford, Steve Rutherford, Tony Rutherford, Ilene Mapes, Mattie Akin, and Barbara Bland, all of Somerset, Ruth Bingham of Dayton, Ohio, Wanda Williams of Covington, Betty Strock of Chicago, June Eaul of Wauconda, Illinois, Carolyn Hines and Opal Rainey, both of Franklin, Ohio, and Relanda Merricks of Ft.Campbell; one brother, Hoy Calhoun of Somerset; five sisters, Maude Eads of Somerset, Audie Burton of Nancy, Ottie King of Decatur, Illinois, Adney Burton of Indiana, and Vida Rainwater; 36 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was a housewife, and a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted this morning at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Somerset Undertaking Company with Rev. E.T. Stacey and Rev. Burney Manning officiating.

Burial was in the Ringgold Cemetery.
