CONWAY| Doris Lee Bagwell, 73, of Graham Road, died Sunday, Nov. 3, 2002, at home.

She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Andrew and Hattye Cook Lee.

She graduated from Aynor High School in 1946 and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina and a retired teacher with Horry County Schools.

She was a very active member of the First United Methodist Church in Conway, the Family Fellowship Class and the United Methodist Women. She was a member of the Church Council, a lay leader, a choir member of the regular choir and the Grace Singers. She was also a member of the Caregivers Group, the Sweet Adelines, Grand Strand Harmony Chapter, and the Sweet Adelines International. She was a member of the Community Choral Society, a volunteer with the Theater of the Republic and the Salvation Army. She was past regional and local chairwoman of the Retired Teachers Association.

She was predeceased by a grandson, Gary Kenneth Foxworth; four brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Foxworth of Conway, Dr. Randell Foxworth of Starkville, Miss., and Pope L. Bagwell of McAllen, Texas; a daughter, Jennifer Foxworth Richardson of Prosperity; a brother, Maxwell Lee of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; a sister, Verdie Lee Harold of Valrico, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at the residence, 2407 Graham Road.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church. The Rev. John Hipp and Rev. Carl Harris will officiate. Burial will follow at Salem Baptist Church Cemetery.
