Judith Lee Thompson, 72, of Cambridge, MN, passed away on Sun, Jun 22, 2014, at GracePointe Crossing in Cambridge, MN. Judy was born in Minneapolis, MN, to Lawrence & Leota Warmelin on Feb 23, 1942. She attended school in Robbinsdale. She married Robert Thompson on Sept 24, 1966, at Westwood Lutheran Church in St. Louis Park, MN. She was connected to nature through her marvelous gardens that she loved to tend to throughout her life. This same passion was also reflected by her love of animals. She was a devoted child of God and always tried to serve Him. She will always be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. Judy is survived by her husband: Robert Thompson of Cambridge, MN; her daughter: Lisa Searcy of Janesville, WI; her sons: James (Tracy) Thompson of Madison, WI and Michael Thompson of Oak Creek, WI; her sisters: Carole Janke, Lauren (Marlyn) Hempel,and Lynn (Brad) Bangtson: and her beloved granddaughter: Breanna Searcy. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Abbott Northwestern Hospital (esp Doctors Rowan & Ragen), the nursing staff of Station 30; Grace Pointe Crossing (esp David, RN on the short term unit). A memorial service was held on Wed, Jun 25, 2014, at the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home, Cambridge, MN, with interment following at the Nicholas Cemetery, Spencer Brook Township, MN. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Lillemoen Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Cambridge, MN.
