Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Compton Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Paul Darveau officiating. Burial will be in Wyoming Cemetery in Paw Paw. Visitation will be from noon until time of service at the church. Arrangements were handled by Torman Funeral Home in Paw Paw..
Mrs. Durbin was born Nov. 6, 1919, in West Brooklyn, to John and Anna (Green) Zinke. She married Herbert Paul Pfeifer on Nov. 14, 1936. He died Feb. 25, 1958. She then married Earl B. Durbin on Nov. 23, 1963. He died Jan. 6, 1983..
She worked at General Electric in DeKalb for more than 33 years, retiring in 1981.
She is survived by a son, Vernon (Sarah) Pfeifer of Compton; a sister, Clara Rhoads of Sandwich; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren She was preceded in death by a son, Keith Pfeifer; six brothers; and four sisters.
