His battles and campaigns included Sicily, N. France, Ardennes, Normandy, Rhineland, Central Europe. On April 3,1961 he lost the greatest battle of his life to cancer. This, too, was fought with dignity and courage. His love for his wife and two daughters, his country and his God remained with him until the end.
