DALHART - Everett Shepherd, 89, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006.
Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Memorial Park Cemetery with Rusty Hancock, pastor of Lincoln Street Baptist Church in Dalhart, officiating. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home.

Mr. Shepherd was born Aug. 18, 1916, to Benjamin and Bessie Smith Shepherd in Beaver County, Okla. He married Muriel Riley in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Survivors include three sons, Jim Shepherd of San Antonio, Steve Shepherd of Plano and Glen Shepherd of Dalhart; 11 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
