Mr Vander Wall had been associated with the Hobart-Dayton firm for 20 years. He moved to Columbia from Charlotte three and one-half years ago.
Funeral services will be conducted from Main Street Methodist Church at 4 o'clock Wednesday afternoon by the Rev A B Ferfuson, Pastor. Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Park.
Mr Vander Wall was born in New Era, Mich, a son of the late Margaret Bush Vander Wall and Richard Vander Wall. He was a member of Main Street Methodist Church.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs Myrtle Wilson Vander Wall; two daughhters, Miss Gaynell Vander Wall and Miss Mary Margaret Vander Wall, both of Columbia; four sisters, Miss Jenny Vander Wall, New Era, Mich, Mrs Richard Coleman, Redlands, Calif, Mrs Thomas Tenbrank, New Era, Mich, and Mrs Phillip Knessen, Meskegon, Mich; five brothers, John Vander Wall, Denver, Colo, Peter Vander Wall, Grand Rapids, Mich, Robert Vander Wall, Mentone, Calif, and Richard Vander Wall, Modesto, Calif.
