Martin Elzinga, 87, of Highland, IN. passed away Saturday, July 27, 1996.

Survived by wife, Grace (nee Leep); one son, Wayne (Babe) Elzinga of Griffith; three daughters, Marilyn Sodo of Cedar Lake, JoAnn Martinez of Highland and Judy (Dr. Marty) Doot of Villa Park, IL.; one brother, Albert "Toots" (Martha)Elzinga of Dyer; sister, Sarah Clouser of Schererville; one sister-in-law, Anne Elzinga of South Holland, IL.; 13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 1996, 10 a.m. at the Second Christian Reformed Church of Highland, Indiana. Burial, Hope Cemetery, Highland, IN. Friends may meet with the family Monday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (2 blocks south of Ridge Road), Highland, Indiana.

Mr. Elzinga was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church; did volunteer work for the Christian Reformed World Relief Committee for 17 years and received the Distinguished Volunteer Service Award from the C.R.W.R.C.

Memorials may be given to Highland Christian School or the C.R.W.R.C.
