Antonio "Tony" Ayala Sr. passed into our Lord's hands on April 10, 2014 at the age 78 years.

Tony was one of San Antonio's premier coaches, producing three of his sons to become National Golden Globe Champions, produced four World Champions and trained the first female boxing World Champion, Maribel Zurita. Tony proudly served in the USMC during the Korean War. It was with the Marine Corps that he developed his love for boxing, achieving a record of 31-7. He went on to train his boys, calling them "The Fighting Ayalas".

He is survived by his wife, Pauline Ayala; sons, Mike Ayala, Sammy Ayala, Tony Ayala Jr. and Paul Ayala. He was a great father and provider for his family.

SERVICES
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from 1:00P.M.-9:00P.M. with a Prayer Service at 7:00P.M. at Palm Heights Mortuary. The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 8:30A.M. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors.
