Seneca, SC – Jean Vinson Stancil, 63, of 203 Kings Park Drive, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 at her residence.

A native of Oconee County, she was the daughter of Charles and Betty Capps Vinson. Mrs. Stancil was formerly employed with Big Lots of Seneca and a member of Heartland Baptist Church.

Survivors in addition to her parents include her husband, Tony Tyler of the home; children: Tracey Taylor and Kim Mitchell both of Seneca, and Betty Cox of Fair Play, Eugene Tyler, Jonathan Tyler, Jason Burton and Lisa Tyler all of Seneca; brothers, Jimmy and Jerry "Rook" Vinson both of Seneca, and Chuck Vinson of Spartanburg; sister, Toni Owens of Seneca; fifteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Her brother, Doug Vinson preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2014 from the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm, Monday, April 14, 2014 at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family is at the residence. Flowers are accepted. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com
