Mrs. Barbara Hill Funderburk, age 84, died Friday, April 18, 2014.
Mrs. Funderburk was born April 24, 1929, in Camden, SC, a daughter of the late Luther Ellie and Leola Eva Marshall Hill. She was a graduate of Pageland High School and was a retired bank teller with First Citizens Bank. Mrs. Funderburk was a faithful member of Liberty Hill Baptist Church for many years, where she served as former pianist, organist, choir member, church clerk, and Sunday school teacher. Barbara enjoyed growing flowers, sewing, quilting, making crafts, and playing the piano. In addition to her parents, Barbara was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie L. Funderburk, her son-in-law, James B. "Pete" Mills, her brother, Don D. Hill, and by her sisters, Miriam H. Ammons and Carolyn H. Smith.
Surviving are a Son, Philip L. (Vonda) Funderburk of Hamptonville, NC; a Daughter, Phylis F. Mills of Pageland, SC; Grandchildren, Jenna Mills (Travis) Johnson, Bevan (Lucille) Funderburk, and Jason (Jen) Funderburk.
Funeral Services were held at 2:00pm on Monday, April 21, 2014 at Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Interment followed in the Church Cemetery.
