Frank A. "Sonny" Bukowiec, age 70 of Cecil, passed away Monday, January 30, 2012. Born on August 14, 1941 in Green Bay, he was the son of the late Frank and Grace (LaCount) Bukowiec. Frank married the former Karen Vossekuil whom preceded in death on May 17, 2003. He was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and had a passion for racing from the local Shawano Speedway to the NASCAR series.
Frank is survived by: 7 children, Scott (Brenda) Bukowiec of Waupun, Brian (Julie) Bukowiec of Brandon, Debbie (Bruce) Harke of Markesan, Mike Bukowiec of Waupun, Brett Bukowiec of Cecil, Cory (Michelle) Bukowiec of Chilton, Jeremy (Maggie) Bukowiec of Sturgeon Bay; 12 grandchildren, Steven, Tyler, Nicole, Ben, Travis, Jesse, Chelsea, Collin, Sierra, Alexis, Alyanna, Blake; and 8 siblings, Keith Passon, Mike (Sharon ) Passon, Eugene (Linda) Passon, Kenneth (Valerie) Passon, Jeff (Joyce) Passon, Carol Passon, Kevin (Carrie) Passon, and Charlie (Beth) Passon. Frank is further survived by his beloved puppy, Cammie.
Frank was preceded in death by: his wife, Karen; a son Brad Bukowiec; a grandson, Austin James Bukowiec; his parents; and 2 brothers in infancy.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, February 4, 2012 at the Swedberg Funeral Home in Shawano with the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral on Saturday after 11am until the time of the service.
