Mrs Abraham (Helen) Winterbottom, 79, formerly of Oglesby, died at 12:30 p.m. Aug 1 in the ottawa Care Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in the Prey Funeral Home, Oglesby. The Rev Thomas Parsons of the First Baptist Church of Oglesby will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Tonica.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday in the Prey Funeral Home.

Mrs Winterbottom was born Dec 30, 1914 in Nebraska, to John and Rose (Henry) Weger. She married Abraham Winterbottom in Henderson, Ark. He died in 1960.

She retired from G&O in Peru.

Survivors are one son, Jacob Weger of Morris; two daughters; Mrs Donald (Naida) Abbott and Mrs Emil (Rosemary) Buckley of Oglesby; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Michael (Pearl) Picco of Oglesby and Mrs James (Rosemound) Picco of Merced, CA; and one brother, Chester Weger of Merced, CA.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Wayne; two grandchildren; six brothers, and four sisters.
