Pauline Carr Stein passed away peacefully May 25, 2009, in San Francisco, at the age of 91. She was the beloved wife of Sam Stein (deceased); mother of Jeffery Stein and Judy Stein (deceased); and grandmother to Taylor, Todd and Holly Stein. Pauline was born Jan. 4, 1918, in Toledo, Ohio, as the daughter of Morris and Etta Carr. She was the sister of Annette Keller of Dallas, and Helen (deceased).

Pauline met Sam Stein and they were married in 1939. In 1967, they moved to Las Vegas. In 2000, Pauline moved to San Francisco to be near her son, Jeffery, daughter-in-law, Peyton Stein, and her grandchildren. Pauline was active in many local charities while living in Toledo. She had a heart of gold and was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She is sadly missed by her family and friends.

A private service will be held and she will be interred in Las Vegas near her husband, Sam. Contributions may be made, in Pauline's memory, to the Alzheimer's Association , Northern California and Northern Nevada, 1060 La Avenida St., Mountain View, CA 94043.
