Catherine was born to Robert A. and Elizabeth R. Paterson in Bellevue, Idaho. She was the second of six children. On June 12, 1948, she married Frederick A. Deonier. They resided in Boise, Idaho and had two children. After 30 years of working for the Boise School District, she retired in 1991.
Her husband, Fred; brothers, David and John; and her parents preceded her in death.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Cathy and Linda (Gary); and her siblings, Robert Paterson, Betty Owen and Mae Caldwell (George).

A graveside service will be at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 24, 2014 at Morris Hill Cemetery, Boise
Instead of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Boise City Fire Department Burnout fund is suggested.
