A native of Buncombe Co., Gladys was a daughter of the late Robert and Eva Lance Gasperson. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Estelle Warren, Frances King, Alice Whiteside, Theodora Mondor, and Jenny Ingle; and brothers, Donald, Harry, and Watson Gasperson.
Mrs. Rogers was a member of Black Mountain First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Pat Eubanks and husband Ralph, of Asheville; son, Jerry Rogers and wife Eve, of Swannanoa; grandchildren, Alison, Rocky, Kathy, and Jenny; and great-grandchildren, Savannah, Kassidy, Nicholas, Heather, and Parker.
The funeral service for Mrs. Rogers will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the Groce Funeral Home chapel on Patton Ave. with the Rev. Kenneth Ingle officiating. Interment will follow at Pisgah View Memorial Park.
Her family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
