Born at North River Corner, abt. 6 mi. north east of Beaufort,Carteret County, N. C. Where I lived until my dad died in 1946, then we moved to South River, which is 28 miles north of Beaufort, N. C.
I am 82 years old and now live in Asheville, N.C. My mother was born and raised at South River. All of the people who lived there were kin to her. The Hardys, Cannons, Edwards, Pittmans,Tostos, Wallaces, Cahoons, Dixons, Lewis, & Simpkins. I married into the Gasperson,Rogers,Lance, Williams, Whiteside,and Ingle Familys all from the Asheville, NC area.
I have worked at genealogy for over 25 years and still love it.
I started on Find A Grave about 2004 or close there about.

I worked with the Bell System for 40 years. First in Virginia with C&P Telephone then moved back to North Carolina in 1974 To work for Southern Bell. I worked in Asheville for one year as a Construction Supvr. and was promoted to Plant Manager in Hendersonville, N.C. I worked there until 1982 and was transfered to Charlotte where I worked until I retired in 1996 with 40 years service. I then went to work with a contractor doing Engineering work(Lead Designer) for the same Bell South Company and worked for five more years before finally I retired in 2001. I again begain work for Byers Engineering as a Field Engineer in May of 2016. I am not now working at Byers as they evidently thought I was too old.
Transfer requests should be for direct relatives within four generations. This would be your siblings, parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
No Aunts, Uncles or Cousins.
