Del-Ciotto, Graziella

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and Nonna, Graziella Del-Ciotto on December 8, 2004, surrounded by her family at the Foothills Hospital in Calgary at the age of 85 years.

Graziella was born in Francavilla al Mare, Italy on December 4, 1919. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 with her family. Graziella made many sacrifices and worked very hard to ensure that her children would have a better life. Her courage and love of her family gave her strength to fight and endure until her last breath. She will be sadly missed by her sons and daughters, Iolanda Molinari, Frank (Lucy) Del-Ciotto, Bruna (Peppino) Valentini, Giuliano (Chris) Del-Ciotto, Maria (Mark) Nichols, and Liliana (Tony) DeLuca. Graziella is also survived by her fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who all loved Nonna very much. She is also survived by a brother and three sisters, Rocco DeLuca, Elena Zulli, Ida Fornaro, and Maria Rapini all of Italy; and by her three step daughters, Anna, Erminia and Ida. Graziella was predeceased by her husband of fifty-two years, Luigi; a daughter (nine months), Brunetta; her parents Vincenzo and Adele; two brothers Franco and Guiseppe; and a son-in-law Giannino Molinari.

Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.) on Friday, December 10, 2004 at 7:30 p.m. with Rev. Mr. Daniel Plamondon officiating. Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Helena's Catholic Church, Burnaby, BC on Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Oceanview Mausoleum where Graziella will be laid to rest alongside her husband Luigi.
