Born on July 8, 1915, to the late Judson J. Bulman and Lola (Bulman), she was the widow of William J. Brown and Grady Lancaster.
A graduate of Roebuck High School, she was a life-long member of Bethlehem Baptist Church, a member of the Rebekah Sunday School Class, former member of the Roebuck Improvement Association, and past Matron of the Eastern Star.
She was formerly employed with Arkwright Mills, Spartan Grain and Feed, and retired from Dayco.
She is survived by Becky Carroll, a dedicated niece who has unselfishly taken care of her every need for more than five years; and by a lifelong friend, Mary Huckaby, with whom she has shared lifes happiness and sorrows.
In addition, she is survived by a sister, Sarah Jo Watson; four other nieces, Linda W. Sink, Myra L. Sisson, Sandra Whittington and Gerry Fraker; three nephews, John L. Lancaster, III, Judson E. Lancaster and Richard Watson; and four step-children, Ronnie Lancaster; Neil C. Lancaster; Judy L. Graham, and Lynda Edwards. She is also survived by six step-grandchildren and five step-great- grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husbands, Mrs. Lancaster was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy B. Lancaster and Estelle B. Williams; a niece, Doris L. Koon; and a nephew, Huey W. Lancaster.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 27, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Lanford-Dunbar Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Jim Oliver officiating. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends at the funeral home beginning at 10:00 a.m.
