Alessandro was born to Guiseppi Tassinari and Theresa Lenzi in the Emilia-Romagna region of Italy. He married Maria Balboni, the daughter of Austoria Balboni and Gertruda Cassini of Italy.
Alessandro and Maria immigrated to the United States settling in Plymouth County, Massachusetts. It is not clear if they came to the U.S. together or separately.
In 1896 at an Italian festival in Wareham, Alessandro got into an argument with a fellow Italian who shot him dead. Alessandro left his expectant wife and two young children at the time of his death.
He is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery in Wareham, Massachusetts.
