Ruth Corder Sechrist, 80, of Paris, Virginia, died Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at her residence.
Mrs. Sechrist was born February 3, 1933 in Culpeper, Virginia, daughter of the late Robert Corder and Margaret Lanham Corder.
She was a homemaker and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Paris and United Methodist Women.
She married Madison Calvin Sechrist on September 14, 1949 in Hargerstown, Maryland. Mr. Sechrist died January 24, 2004.
Surviving are four daughters, Margaret Sine of Paris, VA, Juanita Sechrist of Paris, VA, Mary Frances Swainer of Winchester, VA and Theresa Mae Holliday of Paris, VA; two sons, Madison Calvin Sechrist, Jr. of Winchester, VA and David Sechrist of Paris, VA; and four grandchildren.
A son, Robert Franklin Sechrist and a daughter, Betty Jean Sechrist preceded her in death.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 A. M. Friday, December 6, 2013 at Enders & Shirley Funeral Home Chapel, Berryville with Rev. Karen Adams officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Lutheran Church Cemetery, Yellow Spring, WV.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 P. M. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
