Jack Price, 88, of Asheville , North Carolina passed away October 30, 2013 at John F. Keever Solace Center Asheville, North Carolina.


He was born on July 13, 1925 in Marshall, North Carolina to the late Willard and Cora Walker Price.


Jack served in the Navy during World War II. He retired after 25 years from Champion Paper and had also worked for Colonial Bakery. He had been a member of Bethel Baptist Church and enjoyed farming, cattle and reading.


In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Paul, Gene and Billie Price, Sylvia Moore, Bonnie Blankenship and Juanita Rhymer.


He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Mollie L. Parton Price; son, Jeff (Cora) Price; former wife, Martha Price; and children, Jerry (Carolyn) Price, Rodney (Chari) Price, Bruce (Phyllis) Price and Elaine (Don Williams) Fisher; siblings, Alma Worley, Nancy Blankenship and Walker Price; grandchildren, Blake, Alexa and Austin Price, Justin Fisher and Jennifer Creaseman and great granddaughter Kaiya Price.


A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 2nd at 3:00PM in the Chapel of Faith, Moore Funeral Home at Forest Lawn with Rev. Mark Lewis officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service. Entombment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Candler.
