Mrs. Mildred K. Stock, 80, financial secretary of the Episcopal Diocese of Washington for 37 years, died Friday at Doctor's Hospital after a long illness.

Born in Lewisburg, Pa., Mrs. Stock grew up in Washington and attended the old Business High School.

She began her career in 1919 as secretary to Edward L. Stock, whom she later married. Mr. Stock was then treasurer of a nationwide campaign fund for the Episcopal Church.

In 1925, Mrs. Stock became financial secretary of the Washington diocese, serving in that capacity until her retirement three years ago. She lived at 2828 Connecticut Avenue, NW until her recent illness.

She was honored at her retirement by the church staff and presented a scroll by the Right Rev. Angus Dun, Bishop of Washington.

Mrs. Stock leaves three sisters, Mrs. Helen K. Winfield and Mrs. Hazel K. Copenhaver, both of 3219 Macomb Street, NW, and Mrs. Mary E. Hardle of Kensington. Mr. Stock was killed in an automobile accident in 1947.

On Friday, June 3, 1960, at Doctors Hospital, Mildred K. Stock, beloved wife of the late Edward L. Stock, Sr.; sister of Mary E. Hardic, Hazel K. Copenhaver, Helen K. Winfield and aunt of William K. Copenhaver.

Friends may call at Gawler's Chapel, 1756 Pennsylvania Ave., NW. Services will be held at Bethlehem Chapel, Washington Cathedral, on Monday, June 6, at 3 p.m. Interment Fort Lincoln Cemetery.
