Billy Alvin Teague, age 81, of Charles Teague Place, Lenoir, died Friday, November 1, 2013 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care – Lenoir. He was born January 22, 1932 in Watauga County to the late Fred and Novella Auton Teague.
Mr. Teague was a truck driver and a member of North Lenoir Church of God. He was the last living of seven children.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Juanita Story Teague of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine T. Williams and husband David of Lenoir and Mrs. Cynthia T. Sparks and husband Barry of Granite Falls; four grandchildren, Michael Williams, Susan Pierce, Stephen Sparks and Matthew Sparks; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Greer-McElveen Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Darrell Wright and Rev. Dennis Pitts. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends Saturday, November 2, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Williams, Barry Sparks, Stephen Sparks, Matthew Sparks, Casey Pierce and Michael Williams.
