Charles W. Bourn, age 59 of Winnfield, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Rapides Regional Medical Center in Alexandria.
Mr. Bourn was a native of Carnes, Mississippi and a member of the Faith Baptist Church in Winnfield. He enjoyed the outdoors and was retired from Allen & Allen Vending where he worked for 32 years.
He was the son of the late L.C. Bourn and Melonee Hester Bourn. Mr. Bourn is survived by his wife of 37 years Dorothy Garner Bourn; two daughters, Amanda Bourn Lasyone and her husband Jeff of Verda, La., and Nancy Bourn Adkins and her husband Matthew of Pittsburg, Pa., two grandchildren, Lathan Lasyone and Latney Lasyone, two brothers, Johnny Bourn of Carnes, Ms., L. C. Bourn, Jr. of Pineville, La., two sisters, Lucretia McKaskle of Weston, La., and Kathy Garner of Winnfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Bourn will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2009 in the Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Aaron Gowens and Jack Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Winnfield under the direction of Southern Funeral Home.
Friends may visit with the family in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 8:00 a.m. until time of services.
