Washington - Navy Petty Officer First Class Johnny Doctor Jr., 32, formerly of Hampton, S.C., was killed Sept. 11 in the terrorist attack at the Pentagon.

The Hampton County, S.C., native was a 1986 graduate of Allendale-Fairfax High School in Allendale, S.C. He served in the Navy as an Information Technician First Class.

He had been awarded numerous awards and commendations, including the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, the Coast Guard Special Operations Service Ribbon, the National Defense Service Medal, and the Joint Meritorious Unit Commendations.

Survivors: his wife, Andrea Doctor of Washington; a stepdaughter, Lydeda A. Grant of Washington; a stepson, Anthony P. Newsome of Washington; his mother, Evelena Walker Doctor of Hampton; his father, Johnny Doctor, Sr. of Homestead, Fla.; two brothers, Sheldon D. Doctor of Hampton and William L. Doctor of Barnwell, S.C.; three sisters, Elaine McGraw of Okinawa, Japan, Evon Baumgardner of Montclair, N.J., and JoAnn Doctor of Hampton; a stepsister, Cynthia E. Mimminger of Homestead; his paternal grandfather, Fred Doctor of Cummings, S.C.; and other relatives.

Funeral: 1 p.m., Saturday, at Allendale-Fairfax High School Gymnasium, Allendale; burial in Beaufort National Cemetery, Beaufort, S.C., with full military honors.
