Forest Wilcutt son of Elijah and Belle Wilcutt was born at Knoxville, Iowa May 3,1893 and Died at Birmingham hospital, Van Nuys, Calif. Sept 19, 1947, age 54 years, 4 months and 16 days. He suffered sudden heart attack at hotel where he was living and died shortly after reaching the hospital.
Mr. Wilcutt was a meet cutter by trade and worked for the SafeWay store. He went to Colorado in the spring of 1915 and later to California ,where he has lived for the last several years.
On July 20, 1918 the deceased entered in the United States Army at Bellingham, Wash, during first world war, and was honorably discharged at camp Lewis American Lake, Wash Feb.24,1919.
The deceased was preceded in death by his mother Aug.29,1905, and a sister Mrs. Loucygne Woodcock, Jan. 26 1925, and father, Sept. 13, 1930.
Surviving relatives are a sister, Mrs. Ada Simmonds of Sedro Wooley, Wash; a Brother Charles F. Wilcutt of Knoxville; an Uncle Thomas Hendrex, and an aunt, Mre. J.M. Maddy, of Knoxville, two nieces, Mrs. Phillip Ruhl, of Berkeley, Calf. and Gorden , Dewey, of Mt. Vernon, Wash, two nephews Otis and Forest Wilcutt of Knoxville and many other relatives
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 o'clock from the Bybee & Davis funeral home, conducted by Rev. Paul Hann. Military honors were accorded their deceased comrade by Baty- Tucker post of the American Legion and burial was in Graceland cemetery.
